Are you a horse lover wanting to make a difference in the local area? Consider our volunteer opportunities as a way to help us keep our operations running smoothly. Our work is extremely rewarding, but it takes a lot of manpower, determination and physical labor! Even if you can only help one day a week, all the work of our volunteers helps us with daily operations, special projects and improving or maintaining the living conditions for our rescues. We can't do it alone, so read on to see how you might be able to help!

We need Barn Volunteers!

We operate daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Barn volunteers are needed to assist staff with managing our horses and:
–Mucking
–Cleaning
–Watering
–Feeding
–Grooming
No skills are required to start. Volunteers are provided an orientation and assigned responsibilities according to their level of experience and offered opportunities to grow in their abilities. This can be a great opportunity for students to obtain community service hours for various school and social organizations. Volunteers are managed by our barn staff and Volunteer Coordinator. For more information on becoming a barn volunteer, contact us. Due to the fact that many of our horses need some level of rehabilitation due to their individual circumstances, riding the horses is not part of our current volunteer program. However, there are still many hands-on opportunities working in the barn and we encourage you to become a regular member of our barn volunteers!

Are You Handy? We Need Your Help!

We need volunteers who have an interest or skills in handyman, maintenance or grounds-keeping work. Mowing, gardening/landscaping, repairs, building/construction, painting, etc., are the projects that regularly require time and attention by our farm staff.  If you would like more information on how to get involved with this team, please contact us.
